Baking Time: 9 to 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes or less
Makes: 2 to 3 dozen cookies

Take it from us; nothing beats these delicious chocolate chip cookies!

ingredients

1cup (250 mL) butter
½ cup (125 mL) granulated sugar
1½cups (375 mL) brown sugar
2eggs
2½tsp (12 mL) vanilla extract
2½cups (625 mL) all-purpose flour
½tsp (2 mL) salt
1tsp (5 mL) baking powder
1tsp (5 mL) baking soda
2½cups (625 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips

directions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
2.In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla, beating until smooth and fluffy.
3.In another bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add this to the butter mixture, beating until everything is mixed well. Stir in the chocolate chips.
4.By hand, form the dough into golf-ball-seized balls, and place them 2 in. (5 cm) apart on a parchment-paper-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 9 to 10 min, just until the edges are beginning to brown lightly. ItÂ’s better to underbake these cookies slightly, so remove them from the oven while theyÂ’re still a bit soft in the middle.
