All you need are potatoes and a microwave to create this fat-free, low sodium snack. Trade in your store-bought brands for this easy-to-make alternative.

Directions

  1. Arrange potato slices in single layer on paper towel; cover with another paper towel; press out liquid; surface should appear dry.
  2. Sprinkle on desired seasonings.
  3. Arrange slices in single layer on microwave potato chip tray; or, on parchment paper that is sprayed with cooking oil on top of microwave-safe plate.
  4. Microwave on high until partially browned. The exact cooking time will vary, depending on the size and power of your microwave. A 1100-watt microwave takes approximately 3-4 min. to cook per tray.
  5. Transfer cooked chips to wire rack to cool and crisp. Store in air-tight container.
