Blueberry Smoothie

Blend in the morning for a delicious lunch bag treat. Or serve immediately, if you can't possibly wait another minute.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • ½ cup (125 mL) milk
  • ½ cup (125 mL) plain or blueberry yogurt
  • ½ cup (125 mL) orange juice

Directions

  1. In the container of a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth and frothy. Serve immediately or pour into a thermos (or two) to pack in a lunch box. Note: Although a smoothie will lose some of its frothiness if not served immediately - you can give it a shake before drinking in case the fruit has settled to the bottom.
